Audi A8 (2010): the latest spy photos

Thu, 10 Sep 2009

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 10 September 2009 09:56 This is the new 2010 Audi A8, scooped on test in Europe sporting a very BMW-style swirly whirly disguise. The A8 won’t be at next week’s 2009 Frankfurt motor show, and we’re expecting to see it at a later date in 2009 around November time. Audi has already issued a teaser sketch of the new A8’s headlamp, but now we can see the full dimensions and shape for the first time.

Pace cadets: At AMG academy, students take their finals with their right feet

Mon, 02 Nov 2009

Mercedes-Benz USA launched the AMG Challenge in 2002, a program touted as "a chance to experience the thrill of driving the newest Mercedes AMGs on some of America's best racetracks." This year, MBUSA abandoned the Challenge in favor of the AMG Driving Academy, a multistage driver-development program pioneered by AMG in Europe. The difference? According to Greg Clark, AMG manager, "the Challenge was more about the cars, while the Academy is more about the driver." Having participated in both the Challenge and now the Academy, we'd say that difference is subtle, at least as it applies to the one-day program.

Jaguar XE Estate & Coupe “…a very difficult business case”

Mon, 13 Oct 2014

It’ll be tough to extend the Jaguar XE Range in to an Estate & Coupe We’ve banged on for years about Jaguar extending their saloon car range (well, the XJ and XF as that’s all they had until the XE arrived) to coupes and estates, at the very least. We know, for example, that the Jaguar XJ Coupe has been on the drawing board for as long as the current XJ, but Jaguar has failed to build it. Similarly, there have been rumblings about an XF Coupe for years, but that has come to nought too, although Jaguar did finally manage to launch the XF Sportbrake Estate to extend the XF range a little.
