Country/Region of Manufacture:United States

From a clock collectors's estate, a WWII era aircraft cockpit 8 day, 9 jewel clock manufactured by Waltham Watch Co., in need of
REPAIRThe Bakelite clock case and the knob are extremely clean and have almost no wear (presumed NOT original).
The movement dates to 1944; it has some scratches to the plates. I wound the clock and it ran for a couple hours and then STOPPED.
The clock needs a good clean and oil; perhaps more?
The black painted dial has some pitting, small specks of presumed corrosion under the paint and a slight loss of paint as seen on the number
'9'. The hands have discoloration to the luminous material and the sweep second has has had been repainted on the shorter end (presumed to
cover up a repair). Please see the 12 detailed pictures.

The dial measures 2" diameter. The clock case measures approximately
2-3/8" square x 1-1/4" deep (not including the winding knob).

I found the clock as shown in the pictures and I am NOT a clock expert, I am selling this clock "AS IS / AS FOUND",
with no implied warranty or guarantee and NO return, so please bid accordingly.

I am hopeful someone can restore this clock to its former glory!

Please see the detailed pictures for what is included and its condition.

John Hennessey unwinds modified Chevy SS

Tue, 31 Dec 2013

Perhaps it's not as impressive as John Hennessey's recent 200mph blast down Houston's new Grand Parkway in a warmed-up Stingray, but we figured we'd show you his latest run down the same road in a Chevrolet SS equipped with his company's HPE600 Supercharged package. Thanks to GM's engineers, the four-door hits its top speed of 163 in 5th, rather than 6th, but what impressed us the most was watching the numbers climb on the VBOX — the car pulls John-Bonham-hard all the way up to its top speed. Hennessey hasn't released details of the mods performed on the SS yet, but we're anxious to see what this anodyne-looking monster will do on the top end once the gearing nag's sent off to the glue factory.

Kia Red Rock Special Edition Soul joins lineup

Mon, 13 Feb 2012

Kia has added another Soul special edition to its lineup, inspired by the rock formations in the southwest United States. It gets a unique exterior color called canyon, while the interior gets its own styling as well. The Red Rock Special Edition was introduced at the 2011 New York auto show, and then toured the United States to gauge customer demand.

Aston Martin V12 Zagato – 49 bite the dust

Sun, 22 Jul 2012

The Aston Martin V12 Zagato was going to have up to a 150 production run, but Aston Martin now say they will build just 101 cars. The Aston Martin V12 Zagato is a great creation with OTT styling courtesy of Zagato. But, when all’s said and done, it’s just a V12 Vantage in pretty clothes with a few tweaks, yet it costs three times as much – a slightly eye-watering £330k.
