We recently purchased the contents of a barn from a life long collector of vintage car parts.  Check out our other auctions and "The Old Car Parts Store" for similar items that have been in storage for the past 40+ years.

Here is a VINTAGE MODEL A FORD TWOLITE HEADLAMP.  This is a single headlight being sold as is in good used condition.  I believe this is what is referred to as a sealed beam conversion?  The housing / bucket is in nice shape with only a couple of mild dings and the same can be said for the outer trim ring.  At the top center of the bucket is the information "Ford Twolite Headlamp".  The mounting tab and spring on the trim ring are in good usable condition.  The mounting stud at the bottom center of the unit is firmly in tact but not seized and the threads are in good usable condition (nut turns by hand).  I gave this unit a quick once over cleaning but it has potential to clean up better yet.  There is no noise when you shake it (no loose internal rust) and it looks to be complete.  Overall, a decent original that will make a good driver or use for parts.  Please check out the pictures and email us with questions before bidding.  Professional packaging guaranteed (see our feedback).  Bid with confidence and good luck.

Porsche 918 Spyder here in 2013, says new CEO

New Porsche president and chief executive officer Matthias Müller has confirmed that the new 918 Spyder hybrid supercar is on track for a 2013 delivery. Speaking to CAR at the 2010 Paris motor show, Müller said the engineering programme was on time and that the 918 would stay faithful to the concept car revealed in March this year. ‘We are doing [engineering] concept work on the 918 at the moment and will finish at the end of 2010,’ said Müller.

Mercedes S Class production cut as sales fall

Mercedes is cutting production of the range topping S Class to a one shift operation as sales fall ahead of the new 2013 S Class. But there are now plenty of signs that even premium car makers are not immune from the economic climate – particularly in Europe – as sales start to slide. We recently commented that Jaguar sales are not as strong as they were and now it seems Mercedes is starting to feel the punch as sales of the range-topping S Class falter.

New Volvo XC40 The Volvo XC40 is the next stage in Volvo’s XC adventure and it looks like it will debut – at least as a concept – at the Paris Motor Show. We’ve know for some time that Volvo are planning to extend their range of SUV come crossover vehicles, and a little brother for the XC60, XC70 and XC90 is the direction. We did think, until it became clear that Volvo’s new baby would be the V40 and not the V30, that the next instalment for the XC would be the XC30.
