Hello, Here's a I'm still going thru boxes in the Garage, & around the house Reducing some of my Collectables. Time to clean out the accumulated items I saved for future use. Maybe someone can use this item now. Time to let this stuff go. I came across a box I had in the Draw with Switches. I'll be listing the some of the others as soon as I can. Don't know Original Application or Age of this switch. I've had this Box of Switches for quite a while now. This is NOS in Excellent Condition. Complete: Original Knob, Bulb, & Mounting Nut. The 2 Brass Screws Turn Freely as they should. This is a LIGHTED / ILLUMINATED Switch. TESTED, When Power is Applied, Lights as it should. Knob will GLOW ORANGE when it is turned on. Please See Picture #2 & #3. In the DARK, Orange Glow Does show through the Knob. This is NOT MARKED 6 or 12 VOLT. Current Bulb is a #51. Judging from the Bulb, It's a 6 Volt Switch. Tested & the bulb Does Light as it should. The 12 Volt Replacement would be a #53 Bulb. Mount under the dash with a Mounting Bracket. This can be Dash Mounted using the Supplied Nut. Knob: Looks like Bakelite. Very Cool Color. Color: COFFEE with Darker Shades. This has a Marbleized Look. Turn the Knob, there are 2 Positions / Clicks. After the Clicks, Operates as a Rheostate Control. The Switch & Knob are Very Clean & Shiney. There are NO Cracks, Scratches, Dents or Pits. Looks to have a Nice, Aged, Vintage Patina AS IS. May need more cleaning, New Owner can decide this. Personally, I like the Patina on the Knob. Not Marked 6 or 12 Volts. May Work fine with either. I Tested this switch with a Ohm Meter, & it Seems Fine. Switch turns Easily as it should to all positions.
This switch has a Very Nice Art Decco Design. Knob Looks like Bakelite, Maybe Plastic. Marked: AETNA MOTOR PRODUCTS BOSTON, MASS U.S.A. You can see this in the 1st Picture. Aston Martin Virage (2011) at 2011 Geneva motor show
Wed, 23 Feb 2011This is the new Aston Martin Virage, a V12-engined GT to sit halfway between the DB9 and the DBS. It will be officially unveiled to the public, along with the Aston Martin Vantage S, at the 2011 Geneva motor show next week. Numbers are easy to understand, so let’s start with the figures produced by the 6.0-litre V12 shared between the trio: the DB9 has 470bhp and 442lb ft, the DBS 510bhp and 420lb ft, and the Virage sits neatly between the two with 490bhp and 420lb ft.
Spada Codatronca Monza
Thu, 14 Apr 2011Taking center stage today at the Top Marques show, Monaco, was the Spada Codatronca Monza. Essentially a roofless, hardcore track focused version of the 2007 Coupe, the Monza is a pure sports car. Penned by Ercole Spada, the Monza is a light weight sports car that retains the taught, angular surfacing of the coupe and familar aggressive DRG and tapered rear but loses all forms of weather proofing in the name of weight.
Power hike for Porsche Boxster
Thu, 19 Oct 2006By Phil McNamara Motor Industry 19 October 2006 02:37 Porsche has upgraded its two Boxster models, by transplanting the Cayman coupe's punchier flat six engines. The base Cayman cabriolet – sorry, Boxster – now gets a smidgen more power and torque from its 2.7-litre unit, with outputs climbing to 245bhp and 201lb ft. The tweaks shave a tenth off the 0-62mph sprint, reducing it to 6.1sec, and improve fuel economy by 1mpg to 30.4.
