Vintage NOS in original box is a Michigan 2 blade aluminum boat propeller SA20. Marked on back of box in pen is 7 and 1/2 x 7 with original price of $4.50. Although based on the previous models' platform, the car has been significantly reworked to enhance its driving dynamics with all-new suspension settings, but it also wears bolder sheet-metal. After all, it’s been turning up all over the place for at least a year, and we even had a good view of the Volcano Orange MP4-12C from Goodwood as it passed us en-route to strut its stuff up the Goodwood Hillclimb last year. But the cars we’ve seen so far – even the Volcano Orange MP4-12C from Goodwood – were prototypes; McLaren’s running test beds for tweaking and refining the MP4-12C before the first cars reach customers this year.

It's a four-door version of the 4 Series coupe, which itself is based on the 3 Series saloon, and adds to a bewildering array of machines stemming from the F30 3 Series. Officially the 4 Series Gran Coupe, revealed in full in these images from the firm’s design patent, is given the ‘F36’ codename and is expected to be officially unveiled in early 2014. It joins the F30 (3 Series saloon), F31 (3 Series Touring), F32 (4 Series Coupe), F33 (4 Series Convertible), F34 (3 Series Gran Turismo) and F35 (3 Series long-wheelbase saloon) to complete the range of body styles.
