This is a vintage NuVue vehicle mirror with built in Spotlight.  This is from a restorers estate sale in dry New Mexico.  I see nothing cracked, broken or bent on this.  I jumpered the lamp to a battery momentarily and it lit up.  The head swivels with proper tension on the mount.  It is driver quality since it is pitted (or it can be rechromed).  The top and sides of the top fluted cover are in good condition with bright shiny reflective chrome.  The pits are on the bottom half sides and underneath and on any lips anywhere moisture would collect (please look closely at the pictures, the camera flash washout and reflective surfaces tends to hide the pits).  I took it apart to check for damage and everything comes apart like it should with good threads.  The mirror glass needs to be replaced, the good thing is that it is not broken so it is good for a pattern and mounts between flanges so it comes right out.  Any good glass shop can cut a new one for a few bucks.  The serrations on the mount are in good undamaged condition so this can be adjusted to any angle for mounting and the tightening bolt and threads are in good condition.  The wire is undamaged, it mounts on a screw lug connector inside so it can easily be replaced with any length wire you want.  All in all except for pits and mirror a very decent vintage accessory.  I just need to pass it on to someone who can use it so NO RESERVE sold as is.  Buyer pays actual shipping cost with no handling charges and I will combine shipping when possible.  This can fit in a USPS Medium Flat Rate Box.  Please email any questions or comments.  Thanks for looking.

Nissan updates GT-R for Europe

Wed, 11 Nov 2009

Now that the initial excitement over the GT-R has died down, Nissan has launched a round of improvements aimed at improving its reliability, comfort and yes, even its ability to plaster a smile across your face. Apparently so. Changes to spring and damper rates improve the pretty woeful ride comfort but also the handling, says Nissan, thanks to more accurate control of suspension movements.
