Vintage original  10" X 13"  Oct. 26, 1946 COLLIER'S magazine advertisement in good condition (examine scan before bidding) for GENERAL MOTORS. Scans shows all of both sides of the page. Copy reads in part:"GENERAL MOTORS...CHEVROLET - PONTIAC - OLDSMOBILE - BUICK - CADILLAC - BODY BY FISHER - FRIGIDAIRE - GMC TRUCK & COACH - GM DIESEL..." Will be shipped in a cardboard mailing tube. Chevrolet resumed production of 1946 models on Oct. 3,1945. A strike by UAW was called on Nov. 21 and settled on March 13, 1946. Chevy was the 1st GM to resume production several days later. Porsche 918 Spyder Prototype Porsche has revealed the pre-production prototype of the 918 Spyder hybrid supercar, successor to the Carrera GT. The Porsche 918 Spyder – Porsche’s successor to the Carrera GT – is now entering the final stage of its development with the reveal of the Porsche 918 Spyder Prototype. If you look through the camouflage Porsche has given the 918 – a camouflage inspired by the Porsche 917 Racing livery – you can see the changes Porsche has made to the original concept and what will, in all probability, be the final look for the 918.

Ford Escape, Fusion get software fix

Ford says it has developed a fix for the potential engine fire problem that prompted it to recall nearly 90,000 copies of the new Escape and Fusion with the 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine. Ford traced the problem to a glitch in the engine software that could lead to an engine fire in the event of pressure dropped in the cooling system. So dealers will update the software on the recalled vehicles.
