This is a nice quality vintage original Alpex Raineri air horn # A1173 that was made in Italy. I was told by the old timer I bought it from that he removed it "from a large boat". It looks to be in good condition with no dings or dents but it has not been tested and is being sold as is. The chrome plating on the housing has some pitting and there is some corrosion on the face of the bell opening (see photos). The total length is 19 3/4", the horn bell measures 17 1/2" long and the bell o.d. is 5 5/16".

2012 Ford Explorer gets 28 mpg with EcoBoost power

Wed, 27 Jul 2011

The 2012 Ford Explorer--the first vehicle in North America to get the company's four-cylinder EcoBoost engine--is rated at 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, it was announced on Thursday morning. The 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost Explorer engine pushes out 240 hp at 5,500 rpm and 270 lb-ft at 3,000 rpm. The four-cylinder is a significant part of the Explorer's dramatic makeover, which has seen the family-hauler transition from a body-on-frame SUV to unibody underpinnings.

POTHOLES cause 'over £1 billion in damage every year'

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

POTHOLES are costing British drivers £1.2 billion every year due to damage to suspension, steering and wheels. This is a 16% rise in the cost of damage to cars on the UK’s roads and the weather has played a major part in the rise in the number of potholes. Councils say they don’t have the money to deal with the problem due to budget cuts and there has also been an 18% increase in the number of dangerous potholes reported during the past 12 months according to the Asphalt Industry Alliance (AIA).

Carlsson C25 super coupé (2010) first official pictures

Wed, 27 Jan 2010

Mercedes tuner Carlsson will whisk the covers off this slinky new sports coupe at the 2010 Geneva motor show. The new C25 is Carlsson’s take on the Merc CL and this reskinned supercar will be one of the world premieres at the Palexpo arena.  Carlsson says it’s the company’s first own-developed and badged road car and it just about looks convincingly different enough from the SL to warrant that claim, we reckon. Just 25 C25s will be built, each powered by a breathed-on Mercedes 743bhp bi-turbo 6.0-litre V12.
