Used, it is standard Mains 2.001 inch and standard Rods 1.625 inches, since it has the larger mains 2.001 inches it is for the later model 1275 cc motors. There are some marks, and scratches on the journals but nothing major. Since this is the later crankshaft it is Nitrided from the factory, a crankshaft hardening process. Please review, examine, and study the pictures before bidding on this item.
Manufacturer Part Number:SCF G64C-1 IN AEG 316 180 Warranty:No Placement on Vehicle:Front Country/Region of Manufacture:United Kingdom Surface Finish:Nitrited processed metal

Up for auction / your consideration is an Vintage, used Austin Mini Cooper S Crankshaft.  This crankshaft is at least 40 years old and should be considered used and vintage by all means it is not New Old Stock.  This is the later model 1275 cc engine with the 2.001 inch main journal size, and the 1.625 inch rod journal sizes.  This crankshaft is standard, standard sizes, with some wear on it. Please examine all the photos, carefully, as you can see there are some nicks and small scratches on the journals, nothing major, but this crankshaft is not perfect.  This crankshaft has gone through the factory nitriding process of hardening the journals to protect them when in use.
The mains have been cross-drilled, I am not sure if this was done by the factory or not, the job was very nicely done and only helps to keep the mains oiled properly.
The front and rear threaded holes are not damaged or modified in any way, they could use some cleaning, however the threads are in very nice shape.
I did glass bleed the crankshaft as it has been in possession for 40 plus years and there was some surface rust on the counter weights.  I do not know the history, except that it has been sitting around a machine shop for 40 plus years and that it is used.

Peugeot 90X breaks cover

Thu, 04 Nov 2010

Once a well kept secret in Peugeots Sport factory in Vélizy, near Paris, Peugeots new 2011, codenamed 90X, has been out and about for its first test at the Monza track. While the 90X complies with the new ACO's 2011 regulations, it still requires some considerable amount of work to be done to be ready for 2011. A curvier windscreen and slight change to the nose but the biggest changes are the new fin leading from the cockpit to the rear spoiler, aimed to offer more down force and avoid flipping in the case of a high speed crash.
