Vauxhall & Opel – no plant closures before 2014
Sun, 25 Mar 2012Will the new Mokka help GM in Europe Despite reports that GM Europe are planning closures at Vauxhall and Opel, GM boss says there will be no closures before 2014. GM in Europe are not having an easy time of things, with both Vauxhall and Opel struggling for sales as the car market in Europe polarises and the mainstream car makers struggle. New Ford S-Max Concept at Frankfurt Motor Show
Wed, 28 Aug 2013The New Ford S-Max Concept (pictured) will debut at Frankfurt Ford’s sporty take on the Galaxy – the Ford S-Max – has been with us since 2006, so it’s time for a change. But with Ford in Europe not having the best of times and the new Ford Mondeo not expected to arrive until 2014, the all new S-Max – which will have underpinnings from the new Mondeo – won’t be arriving until 2015. But in the absence of anything new to show at Frankfurt, Ford has put together a Concept version of the new S-Max to try and show Europe it really does have new stuff on the way.
Captain Jack goes rallying with Fifth Gear

Captain Jack Harkness from Doctor Who / Torchwood (a proper petrol-head) – jumped at the chance to take on the rally stage in the Prodrive Impreza N2009 under the tutelage of Fifth Gear’s Tiff Needell. Not surprisingly, it took a bit more effort from Tiff than the Stig needs to put in to get a star round a lap of the TG track, but he managed to show John the basics before John put in a time on the Sweet Lamb stage.
