Up for bid is a Pierce Arrow Motor Car Co. solid brass Lantern dated July 13, 1910. Manufactured by The Adam & Westlake Co. Chicago. Description on bottom states Adlake Non-sweating Balance Draft Lamp. Dimensions are 11" X 7", looks to be complete with a few dents and previously painted black. Also would like to add from a knowledgeable ebayer. That this is a cowl lamp for a first series Piece-Arrow all models. Missing one screw in jewel green or clear. Mercedes has revealed the S500 plug-in Hybrid at Frankfurt But the S-Class is the ultimates ‘Bankers Car’. So where to go with S Class without destroying the kudos for buyers is a problem. Mercedes made a start with the mild S400 Hybrid, but as we reported recently they are going much further with the S500 Hybrid which was revealed yesterday at Frankfurt.

625 cars per day found to be insurance write-offs

ONE IN EVERY 33 vehicles given a history check is found to be an insurance write-off, according to data gathered by HPI. In 2012 one in 33 vehicles checked by HPI was an insurance total loss – otherwise known as a write-off. This equates to 625 cars a day or over 223,000 cars per year being dangerously repaired and sold on to unsuspecting consumers.
