This Pontiac 6 cylinder engine Short Block is out of a 1938 Pontiac 5 passenger sedan. It will fit a 1938 to a 1941 Pontiac car, and maybe other General Motors vehicles of that age.

It was overhauled many years ago, and was  bored .040 over size with .040 oversize pistons and rings. After this engine work was done the engine ran beautifully, according to my Dad. Later, a soft plug leaked, and the driver added cold water to a hot engine, and developed a small crack between two of the Pistons or valve seats, I do not recall which. The motor always ran fine even after that. It was later parked many years, and in 1990 I replaced it with a rebuilt short block, doing the mechanical work myself.

Having worked in a welding and machine shop myself, I know that this block could be welded by anyone who knows what they are doing.

I would be happy to sell the pistons, crankshaft and other parts separately if some one was interested in buying them separately. This engine was not run very long after it was bored to .040 over size so am certain the pistons, rings, crankshaft and timing gears and chain are not worn much if at all.

If questions feel free to ask. I know a lot about this engine.

The brief asks for your to design a B- or C-segment car that embodies Cadillac brand philosophy and vehicle attributes, and should give an evolutionary perspective on the firm's Art & Science design philosophy.

BMW Gran Lusso Coupe Pininfarina teased

Wed, 15 May 2013

Does that mean the Gran Lusso previews a new 8 Series from BMW? Probably not, any more than last year’s BMW Zagato Coupe from Villa d’este spawned a new BMW, but it’s an interesting idea to revive a big V12 coupe when the rest of the car world is downsizing. BMW aren’t giving much away about the Gran Lusso beyond these few photos, but it’s clear from those tease photos that it has a makeup similar to the 8 Series, with a long nose, two doors and swooping coupe roofline.
