Ferrari California (2008): first official pictures
Thu, 29 May 2008By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 29 May 2008 08:30 This is the Ferrari California – the new 2+2 GT unveiled today. There’s a seven-speed twin-clutch transmission, a 454bhp 4.3-litre V8 with direct injection, a folding metal roof and space for four. Right, concrete numbers on the Ferrari California please… The engine is a 4300cc V8, using the existing block from the F430 but with a new head to accommodate direct injection. It’s the first time Ferrari has used DI and helps the California produce 454bhp at a heady 7500rpm.
Aspid GT-21 Invictus revealed – sort of
Tue, 17 Jul 2012Aspid – the Spanish supercar maker which was IFR Aspid – has revealed the first images, and video, of the new Aspid GT-21 Invictus. IFR Aspid made the Caterham-esque – and rather bonkers – Aspid SuperSport, but after a change of name to just ‘Aspid’ they teased a new car back in May, which looked to be more mainstream. That tease arrives as the Aspid GT-21 Invictus, which takes the starting point of the very ‘open’ SuperSport and clothes it in a new body that turns it in to more of a GT car – even if it still gets open front wheels.
Audi A7 Sportback Launched: Price & Models
Tue, 27 Jul 2010The Audi A7 Sportback Launches Finally, after much teasing and a little tormenting, Audi did the decent thing and put us out of our misery with the launch of yet another niche filler – the Audi A7 Sportback – at the Museum of Modern Art in Munich last night. Displayed in all its brown-ness, the Audi A7 looks like an oversized A5 Sportback with the nose of the new A8. In the flesh at launch it somehow seems less impressive than the concept A7; more corporate.
