Actually, they’re not really fitting Michael Fish as he’d probably get it wrong, but the new BMW weather forecast system is going to be able to supply weather forecast and precipitation data to drivers on the in-car screen. It’s inevitable that as the technology in cars becomes more sophisticated, and more cost-effective, we will get increasingly sophisticated systems at our disposal.
Nissan to pull Infiniti production out of Japan to counter strong yen
Thu, 05 Apr 2012The high value of the yen will prompt Nissan Motor Co. to shift production of Infiniti vehicles out of Japan to other locations, Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn said. "You won't have to wait a long time before we make a decision about the new base for sourcing of Infiniti," Ghosn told a group of reporters April 4 during the New York auto show.
NEVS completes Saab purchase

It looks like the Chinese, Japanese, Swedish Consortium NEVS has finally completed the process of acquiring the assets of bankrupt Saab, but it hasn’t quite got all it wanted. We reported last week that the process of acquiring Saab had been delayed as there were still issues over the rights to the Saab log, a logo owned by Scania and Saab Aerospace.
