You are buying a vintage original Offenhauser polished fuel block. I'm not an expert on Offie parts so if I'm misrepresenting it please let me know. I've checked it against the new ones being offered now and mine is definitely different. I believe it is new old stock. 3/8" NPT outlet/inlet. Measures 4 1/2" by 2 1/2" OAL. 1 1/2" high. We know, for example, that Lexus intend the new GS to be a “…high-performance concept that can deliver an inspiring driving experience.”, which is an easy PR statement to make, but a not so easy promise to fulfil. But if early reports are anything to go by, it’s all looking rather interesting.
Local Motors Announces Alaska Motors Competition Winners
Wed, 03 Feb 2010Startup American independent car company Local Motors has announced the winner of its Alaska Motors competition, which called for entrants to design a concept vehicle for the Wrangell Mountain Extreme, a made-up race that takes place in the grueling Alaskan frontier. Challenged to design a conceptual vehicle for the most difficult environmental conditions, designers competed for Wacom prizes and the finalists were then chosen by the community, as they have been for the last 17 competitions. Coming in first place was recent Strate College graduate Anthony Colard for his 'B-Polar' concept, a vehicle that features a unique moving chassis with a rotating axis around its fuel tank allowing it to easily maneuver through rough terrain.
