Vintage Red 5 3/4" Sealed Beam With Ring Fire Engine, Ambulance 6-volt? on 2040-parts.com
Vallejo, California, United States
Auction is for a single vintage 5 3/4 inch Dark Red light with Trim Ring. Looks vintage and suspect it may be 6-volt. Lens is such dark red that I can't tell whether it is a sealed beam or a light assembly with bulb. Neat piece to use on a fire engine or vintage emergency vehicle.

BMW Toyota diesel engine deal not for Lexus
Sun, 18 Dec 2011Lexus won't get BMW diesel engines despite the Toyota deal The deal for BMW to supply Toyota with diesel engines for its range in Europe will not extend to Lexus models. The deal for BMW to supply diesel engines to Toyota for Europe (and joint work on advanced lithium ion battery technology) makes a lot of sense. BMW’s diesel engine are possibly the best there are, and Toyota need good diesel offerings in Europe to mop up sales.
Umea Olme Spyder project
Mon, 22 Feb 2010While Swedish automaker Saab was going through tumultuous times and Geely was in the process of buying Volvo from Ford, first year MA students in Transportation Design at Sweden's Umea Institute of Design were busy creating a one-off roadster for an independent car maker: the Olme Spyder. Created in collaboration with Ove Bengtsson, an engineer with a personal passion for building his own vehicles, the students were asked to design their own interpretation of a progressive and innovative roadster, developing the concept from a sketch into a full-scale model. Based on an Opel Agila donor car, the concept's 650kg steel monocoque chassis was created by Bengtsson himself to accommodate a mid-mounted engine.
