Neat little seat, I am not sure what its original purpose was.  Looks like maybe early automobile or carriage although it is very small about 30 inches wide 16 inches deep and 25 inches high from base to top of back rest.  I bought at auction thinking I might bolt it down on my porch as a rustic shabby chic style decoration but figured it may serve better  for the person who recognizes and knows what it fits. It is very solid has tear in front as shown in photo.
