With the Tesla Roadster at the end of its life, and then Model S Saloon about to hit the road (probably), Tesla are moving on to the next instalment of their electric car pilgrimage - the Tesla Model X. We had expected the Model X – which is based on the same underpinnings as the Model S Saloon – to debut by the end of 2011.

The luxury division of Nissan is building its first dealership on the UK's equivalent of Silicone Valley along the M4 corridor – on the outskirts of Reading. It’s the first time we've seen the California with its folding hard-top erected, and extra snippets of information - like the size of the 2+2 - have now been announced. Its 4560mm length puts the California midway between an Aston Martin V8 Vantage and DB9, while the Ferrari’s 1900mm width means it is wider than both Brits.
