For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this vintage electric trolling motor.  This one was made by Shakespeare and is the Wondertroll 52.  This has 2 speeds, and forward and reverse.  It can run on 6 volts or 12 volts dc.  This has 5 1/2 pounds of thrust.  There is a mounting bracket and a chord for connecting to your electrical system.  The prop is good and immediately usable.  Perfect size for a canoe or a raft.  The shaft is 30 inches in length.

This has been used but the condition is good with nothing broken or damaged.   :-)

Feds: Backup cameras in all new cars by 2018

The U.S. Department of Transportation today finalized a set of federal standards for rear visibility that will require all new vehicles under 10,000 pounds to have backup cameras by mid-2018. Congress called for the rules in 2008 after a spate of accidents in which parents driving cars or trucks backed over their young children, killing them.

BMW's M division claims its new twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine is every bit as good -- if not better -- than the glorious, naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V8 powerplant it replaces in the new M3 sedan and M4 coupe. The figures are certainly impressive. They say it kicks out 424 hp and more than 25 percent extra torque, with what is described as significantly more than 369 lb-ft below 2,000 rpm.
