Northumbria University Degree Show 2007

Students graduating from the Northumbria University BA (Hons) Transportation Design course based in Newcastle in the north east of England have shown their work in London in the exhibition 'Forming Emotion'. Held in Brick Lane as part of the 'Free Range' series of summer Art and Design shows, the exhibition of thesis projects featured a combination of scale models and 2D presentations of digitally-developed models. Mini Crossover at the Paris motor show 2008

By Ben Barry Motor Shows 02 October 2008 15:46 We’ve already seen it in the November 2008 issue of CAR, but Paris marked the motor show debut of the Mini Crossover Concept – a pumped-up four-wheel drive Mini that goes on sale in 2009. As journalists crammed together in what looked like a trendy nightclub, a video of two Chemical Brother-style hipsters driving the Crossover through a warehouse played behind the covered over concept before – ta-da! – some heavily tattooed type swung down from the rafters to remove the covers and reveal the actual pair inside the actual car.

The Chrysler 200C - replacement for the Sebring Although the Chrysler Sebring is a car you can actually pop off to your dealer and buy in the UK, a chunk of readers on this side of the Pond will know it best from trips to the US as the ugly lump of iron they got lumbered with at the car rental desk. The Sebring was unloved by car hacks and the motoring public alike; it mixed poor design with poor looks, a poor drive and a poor interior to make for less than dynamic sales. So when Chrysler tipped up to the Detroit Motor Show in 2009 with a 200C Concept it seemed clear that was what was coming to oust the Sebring.
