Condition:Pre-owned

This auction is for a very old stock car racing trophy from North Wilksboro. Car looks to be some sort of mid 50's 2 door Chevrolet. It's worn in just the right places with great character; like your favorite old hammer or that special guitar. It's been an interesting conversation piece in my shop with good size and weight without being overstated so it can easily sit on a desk or tool box. It was manufactured by Dodge Trophies of Los Angeles and Chicago, they were one of the premiere trophy suppliers in the 50s-60s. This trophy does have its Dodge id tag still affixed under the base. Email if you need dimensions. But about 6-inches tall.

This would make a great Father's Day gift for a Stock Car fan or for someone that happens to enjoy a bit of "White Lightning (moonshine)" afterall that's how Stock Car racing was founded on. I you use the Buy It Now I'll make every effort to get it to you on time. Heck I'll even have my wife wrap it so its ready to be a surprise- WAY BETTER THAN THAT TIE YOU HAD IN MIND

Great Americans: 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T

Thu, 04 Jul 2013

The classic Dodge Challenger's most famous movie role was the 1971 box-office success "Vanishing Point." A pastiche of man vs. society, a legendary staple in classic narrative -- as exemplified by such works as "1984," "Fahrenheit 451," "Charlotte's Web," Idiocracy -- "Vanishing Point" was a movie made by those who commonly styled themselves as "auteurs," making a "film" for the corporate overlords at Warner Brothers, who just happened to land themselves some brand-new Chrysler products and ultimately went on to create, as the DVD reissue box art that I found in the $5 movie bin at Wal-Mart claims, "the ultimate car chase movie!" The movie is rife for philosophical introspection, performed as it is by Philosophy 132 majors needing to pass their Humanities requirement and who couldn't find any more copies of "American Beauty" at their local Best Buy. So, ignore the movie.

BMW has announced that it will, as expected, be launching the diesel version of the 2009 7 Series next year. This is in addition to the two petrol engined models already scheduled. Even at this luxury end of the market, the diesel engine has become a must-have for car makers.
