Vintage Trans-dapt Fc-5 Chevy Engine To Ford Transmission Adapter on 2040-parts.com
Riverside, California, US
Please read the complete description and look at all the pictures after the description, to avoid asking unnecessary questions, and to avoid any problems upon receipt of this item. Please don't hesitate to ask questions if there is something I haven't mentioned, or if you're unsure of something. In addition, please disregard Ebay's definitions of condition descriptions, and go by my description of this item.
This is a vintage aluminum Trans-Dapt part number FC-5 engine to transmission adapter from the 1950's or 1960's. It adapts a Chevy engine of that era to a Ford transmission of that era. To use this adapter, a original factory spacer plate that was with the early Powerglide transmissions is required. That plate bolts to the engine, and this adapter bolts to it. That plate is not included as part of this auction, but the last picture below shows a picture of one. I've checked all the threads in this adapter, and they're all good. The necessary pilot bushing is included.
I'm selling this as-is, but will guarantee it to be received as described.
Please note that due to new Ebay and PayPal policies for 2011, I must now charge and collect sales tax on items sold to buyers with shipping addresses here in the state of California. The tax rate here in Riverside CA is 8%, so if you live here in CA, when bidding, please bear in mind that that's an extra 80 cents you will have to pay on every $10.
This is NOT a best offer auction, and I don't end auctions early.
All items are packed in new boxes that are big enough to allow room for plenty of padding of bubble wrap and peanuts. I guarantee you will NOT receive a damaged item (like many that I have bought). Buyer pays only the actual USPS shipping cost for very well packed (by me) USPS Parcel Select (the new name for Parcel Post) shipping with delivery confirmation in the continental USA, which should be approximately $14-$22 depending on distance from Riverside California 92505. Please use the Ebay shipping calculator for the exact amount that Ebay will calculate at the end of the auction. I ship within 1 working day of receipt of payment, and give the buyer the tracking number within a day of shipping. PayPal payment must be received within 5 days of the end of the auction.
Sorry, but due to past problems with the U.S. and foreign post offices, absolutely no shipping outside the USA. If you are outside the U.S., but have a U.S. address that I can ship to, please e-mail me and I will put you on my buyer block exemption list so that you may bid.
I always have and always will resolve any problem that arises. Please be sure to contact me if there is any problem, as I can't resolve a problem if I don't know about it. Thanks!

The firm’s ‘finest craftsmen’ will hand-build each of the ultra-rare E-Type racers to the exact specification dictated on the original plans, including the 3.8-litre straight-six petrol engine. The cars were originally destined to be built in the 1960s as part of a run of 18, but only 12 were ever made.
