Awesome, rare 1950s fiberglass sconce cone wall light or lamp.
The shade on this is unbelievable.. there cant be many of these out there. Covered with very colorful pennants or flags of various colleges, I see the following: Duke Iowa Notre Dame UCLA Texas Stanford Michigan Purdue Princeton, Harvard U.S.C. Yale Oregon. Each college is represented more than once.. Please see pics. The base is in nice vintage condition.. Chrome is still shiny, a few spots here and there but overall very nice. When I removed this from an old Shasta it worked just fine. The original switch is still there... If the buyer likes I can purchase a brand new switch and wire it up with plenty amount of wire, for a small charge (Let me know if interested before paying) I am including a brand new wall plate chrome wall plate, in case buyer wants to switch Shade is 5 3/4" at its widest, and 7 7/8"at its longest. There is really no damage to speak of, maybe a little fading of colors but still very nice and gives off a very warm light. Looks great. Dont miss out you will not see another! PERFECT for a 1940s 50s or 60s vintage trailer or camper. Thanks for looking! |
