Vintage Unity Model S-5 Gmc Truck Spotlight Bakelite Handle Chrome Hot Rat Rod on 2040-parts.com
Lee's Summit, Missouri, United States
Here is a original Unity Manufacturing Model S-5 spotlight. Based on my research this light was used on 1940-1944 GM trucks, but because this has the flat mount I think this unit was used on a Jeep. The chrome is in good shape with minor scratches; however, there are a couple of dents as shown. The handle control is still fully operational, but the light is untested. Please note that my research found that this light was intended for 6V use.

Film Friday: 'All in One' presents the car as man's best friend, proposes dog power for a greener future
Fri, 21 Mar 2014Remember the time Chevrolet built a dog-powered car? Yeah, neither did we. And we're not even sure if the Bowtie was behind this canine-powered contraption, dubbed the "Bow-Wow Buggy" by this Jam Handy film's unwaveringly enunciative narrator (could it be Jam Handy himself?).
Vauxhall at Geneva: Vauxhall Meriva 2010 UK Prices
Wed, 03 Mar 2010Vauxhall Meriva at Geneva - UK prices revealed Vauxhall has given the 2010 Meriva its first public outing at Geneva (and for that matter Opel has done the same) and seeing it on the floor at Geneva confirms ours suspicions that the New Meriva is almost a cool car (come on, we can’t actually say a mini mpv is really cool). No frumpiness, lots of stylish detail, well conceived and well executed. We still have some doubts about the practicalities of the suicide doors in the real world, but it all looks very good.
Mercedes Vision S500 Plug In Hybrid (2009)
Fri, 11 Sep 2009By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 11 September 2009 09:55 This is Mercedes’ latest Vision concept car, the S500 Plug-in Hybrid, and it will be unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show next week alongside an electric version of the company's new SLS supercar. Based on the current-gen but pre-facelift S-class the S500 Plug-in Hybrid achieves over 88mpg but only emits 74g/km, and the company claims the car demonstrates 'the future of Mercedes' modular set of hybrid systems.' All next-gen S-classes are expected to get stop/start technology as standard, while full hybrid and plug-in hybrids will also be offered. Merc is claiming that its S500 Plug-in Hybrid is the world’s first 'three-litre' limo, offering 88.3mpg (or 3.2l/100km), figures that shame the Lexus LS600h (30.4mpg), BMW’s 7 ActiveHybrid (29.1) and even the company’s own S400 Hybrid (35.8).
