Very cool large vintage exterior rear steamer trunk. Solid construction. Steel corners & latches. has that aged surface rust to add to the charm. Looks kind of 1930's or 1940's. Made by The Universal Trunk Company in Oakland CA. It's in pretty good shape for it's age. I restored the lock. Has one new key.
Measures 28.25" wide x 18" deep x 21.25" tall
This trunk was built with a cutout notch in the bottom front. The notch measures 4" back & 1.75" tall. Most likely for a cross frame rail allotment or spare tire allotment. The inner tray is in great shape.
Would look really classy on an older hot rod. Haven't done the research to determine the exact model it was made for.

Toyota Auris Touring Sports Specification – but no price
Sat, 16 Feb 2013Toyota has revealed specifications for the Auris Estate – the Toyota Auris Touring Sports – but has yet to come up with a price. At the time, apart from learning the Auris Touring Sports was longer than the Auris Hatch, we didn’t get much more from Toyota. But now, ahead of the Auris Touring Sports turning up again at Geneva next month, Toyota has released more detail.
Opel Adam going rallying
Wed, 21 Nov 2012Opel is adding a bit of rally credibility to the new Adam by taking it rallying with an Adam R2 rally car for a one-make cup. But perhaps GM Europe are hoping to inject a bit of performance credibility in to the uninspiring mechanical offerings the Adam currently offers with the revelation that they’re making a rally Adam prepared to basic R2 spec, which means a tweak or three from the standard production car. That means upgrades to the engine, suspension, brakes and gearbox to produce an Adam rally car that’s an affordable entry point for young drivers and Opel are aiming to compete in the ADAC Opel Rally cup with the Adam R2.
