BOX HAS NEARLY PERISHED, (see photos). Minor scratches on Shield.
Brand:JAYMAR SPECIALTY COMPANY

Very old US Flag Display for Vintage Cars.  I'm listing this cool piece as used, although I looks as if the flags have never been used, but there some minor scratches on the holder.  No doubt meant to be used on Holidays and for Parades. This set with it's Original Box is Unique. As I stated, it appears to never have been used. The mounting shield was to be attached to the cars radiator, and the flags were mounted in the rear slots on the shield. This would be great to have for your vintage show car, or simply to display at home or in the office. Box is in very poor condition, but happily no one has tried to repair it. Flags are all good, with 42 Stars, however, I believe the set was manufactured some time later, in the 1930's, judging by the picture on the box top. Not sure though, might have been done even later, but still quite rare. Thanks for looking. Mike.

The competition works like this: CCS and Michelin get together to develop a theme, then CCS picks which transportation design class will work on the project. The idea, Michelin says, is to celebrate and promote the kind of vehicle design that highlights original thinking and innovation.

Schreyer: More than a designer of products I wish to be an architect of Hyundai's brand image

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

There's no denying Peter Schreyer has been instrumental in turning around Kia's image from a manufacturer of wheeled white goods in a creator of design-led products. Now his attention turns to sister company Hyundai in his role as chief design officer for both companies and his plans are no less ambitious. "More than a designer of products I wish to be an architect of Hyundai's brand image," he told an audience at Hyundai's European headquarters, explaining how his job is not simply 'styling' but communicating the brand's message right down to details such as the seatbelt warning buzzer.
