It is so hard to photograph chrome - let's just get this out there!

I shot this vintage VW hub cap twice trying to depict it true to it condition. I am thinking that my textual description will assist you in describing its true form.

There is some mild rust on the front. It has two very small dents. The chrome is flaking and rusting underneath. There are two holes on the bottom side of the rim (see this in the fourth photo) and on the top as well.

The upshot of this is that it has such a classic look. Maybe the imperfections can be fixed to some extent. If not, it still has appeal.

It is really a nice piece of automobile history.

Ford Iosis X concept

Tue, 03 Oct 2006

With an abundance of small SUVs entering the European market, Ford has been conspicuously absent from this segment, something that the Iosis X will hope to quell. Using the same 'kinetic design' theme as the Iosis concept from last year, the Iosis X puts a coupe-like window graphic and roofline upon thick sills, similar in this respect to the Opel Antara concept. But while Opel will have their model on the road imminently, those wanting the Ford equivalent will have to wait until early 2008 for the forms to be toned down and put in showrooms.

Toyota Sai Revealed

Tue, 20 Oct 2009

The Toyota Sai Hybrid - a Toyota-ised Lexus HS 250h When we reported on the Sai’s launch schedule we did apologise that we didn’t have more information . All we knew was that it would be a Toyota hybrid based on the Lexus HS 250h and launch on the 20th. And remarkably, that just about covers it even though Toyota hasĀ unveiledĀ the Sai.
