These are four vintage White Freightliner electric tachometers. These are new old stock and their conditions vary because of storage conditions over a long period of time. They are all unused. One appears to be broken since the white indicator needle won't rest near zero. Three of the units have corrosion on the bezel which could be fully removed if you're careful. Year of manufacture is unknown. I couldn't find any matching tachometers by internet search. I think they may be from the 60's or 70's. One of the tachometers has an almost new appearance. The other three have varying degrees of corrosion due to storage conditions. The black and white leads on each are over two feet long and have never been connected. There is no original packaging. All of the tachometers were partially and externally cleaned. They have not been tested and are sold as is. Each one should be closely inspected before installation. Since I could find no matching examples these may be hard to find. Shipping is free within the continental United States. Shipping is not free to any other location. The 2012 Mercedes SLK AMG 55 was revealed just before the Frankfurt Motor Show, and Mercedes told us it would go on sale in the UK in early 2012. So it’s a good job they’ve finally managed to come up with a price for the new SLK 55 AMG so at least UK buyers will finally know what they’ve got to stump up – £54,950.
Jaguar Land Rover: Tata to double annual investment to £1.5 billion

Michelin design contest inspires young minds
Tue, 04 Dec 2012The College for Creative Studies in Detroit held its 24th Michelin Design challenge, in which Michelin sponsors a design and development project for one of CCS' transportation design classes. The competition works like this: CCS and Michelin get together to develop a theme, then CCS picks which transportation design class will work on the project. The idea, Michelin says, is to celebrate and promote the kind of vehicle design that highlights original thinking and innovation.
