Cars in the living room--art or furniture?

Mon, 29 Aug 2011

It takes a special kind of person to put a $100,000 supercar in the living room instead of the garage, but we say if you have the means, go ahead and do it. A photo collage that appeared on www.home-designing.com last week showed Ferraris, Maseratis and Lamborghinis sitting in houses as showpieces, like the works of art they are. Video: GM's Clay Dean on the future of urban mobility

Wed, 14 Aug 2013

Clay Dean is the star of a new Faces of GM video, Anticipating the Driving Experience of the Future. The global design director for GM's Advanced Design Group, whose job also entails exploring future transportation design solutions, talks about the need to avoid short-term thinking on urban mobility, as by 2030 60 percent of the world's population will live in cities. As new challenges start to emerge, such as increasing congestion, Dean believes it is time to start thinking about transportation in a completely different way.

Range Rover Evoque Sport back in the news

Fri, 04 May 2012

Range Rover Evoque Sport - back in the news The Range Rover Evoque Sport is back in the news after Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern hinted at it in Beijing. Last year we reported that a Range Rover Evoque Sport is planned after David Mitchell, Land Rover’s Evoque program director, confessed he was driving an Evoque with the 2.0 litre Ecoboost petrol engine turned up to 300bhp. Even if David Mitchell hadn’t confessed his pimped ride it would still have been a very sensible assumption that Land Rover would add a Range Rover Evoque Sport to the range at some point.
