Tue, 20 Aug 2013New Lexus Concept teased for Frankfurt With the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show now just a few weeks away, car makers are starting to tease their offerings, with this morning’s coming from Lexus with a tease photo for a new Lexus Concept. Lexus aren’t giving anything away, but it does look like this tease could be for the new Lexus RC – and a powerful RC-F – Coupe, a two-door version of the latest IS. That makes more sense from the proportions we can work out in the photo than a first look at a more compact, sub-RX – SUV we also know is in the works, but we wonder how different it will be from the concept for the latest IS.
New Car Sales Increase Again
Wed, 06 Aug 2014NEW registrations in July 2014 totalled 172,907 - a 6.6% rise on the July 2013 figure, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said. The latest figures took the year-so-far total to 1,460,172 - a 10.1% rise on the January-July 2013 total. As a result, the SMMT has now upwardly revised its prediction for sales for the whole of 2014, forecasting that a total of 2.45 million could be reached.
Truckers given the green light to drive faster
Thu, 24 Jul 2014THERE'S good news for car drivers today as the government has officially increased the single-carriageway speed limit for heavy goods vehicles to 50mph. Previously, HGVs were limited to 40mph by law, leaving drivers' tempers to boil over in their cars while stuck in a long line of traffic. AA president Edmund King said: "This seems like a common sense move.
