How the Nissan Qashqai reinvented the family car
Fri, 31 Jan 2014The 2014 Nissan Qashqai (above) arrived in showrooms this week, but will the second-generation model be as groundbreaking as the first? Inevitably, the all-new Qashqai looks very similar to the outgoing model, but why change a winning formula? The original Qashqai was, arguably, the most successful new family car launch since the original Volkswagen Golf from 1974. Vauxhall Adam Rocks baby Crossover ready for production
Wed, 19 Feb 2014The Vauxhall Adam Rocks (pictured) ready to roll in to production At last year’s Geneva Motor Show we got the first look at the Vauxhall Adam Rocks Concept, a butch little ADAM with raised ride height, extra cladding and a cabrio roof as Vauxhall attempted to turn their latest city car in to a funky urban Crossover / baby SUV. With a ride height raised by 15mm, retuned suspension, extended wheel arches and the required black plastic cladding needed to turn it in to a pseudo off-roader (and 17″ or 18″ alloys) the ADAM Rocks looks the part.
Toyota's production iQ
Thu, 06 Mar 2008By Guy Bird Motor Shows 06 March 2008 15:41 What’s new on Toyota’s Geneva Motor Show stand? The brand’s biggest news by far was the production iQ city car. The road-going iQ keeps almost all of the 2007 Frankfurt concept’s great packaging – half a metre shorter than a Fiat 500 at 2985mm – but still housing four seats, three for adults and one behind the driver for a child or luggage (there’s no conventional boot space).
