It also is equipped with a special adapter plate, which allows it to be mounted to cars with the PICT 34 carburetors. The adapter plate comes mounted on the carburetor for easy installation on to 1600 engines. Studs and a new gasket are included in the kit to make it a complete bolt-on. The adapter plate can be removed to bolt the carburetor to a single port engines. This carburetor will fit both single port and dual port engines! This carburetor is a great solution to common problems many air-cooled Volkswagen owners experience, such as leaking throttle shafts, an old gummed-up carburetors or a poorly jetted carburetors. The carburetor will work with both 009 and vacuum advance distributors. It comes after research by the TSI that shows a half of all used cars show up with a fault within a month of being bought by a new owner. In the past 12 months, the TSI has received 84,000 complaints about used cars.
