Lamborghini Reventon Roadster – the Video

Fri, 18 Sep 2009

Lamborghini Reventon Roadster Promo Video Latest morsel to land in out inbox is a video of the Reventon Roadster. Which on the face of it seems a damn fine thing to bring you. But it turns out is one of those fairly pointless ‘Promo’ videos where the director thinks he’s being clever by using abstract imagery and commentary instead of concentrating on the subject.

Lamborghini LP650-4 Roadster – in the wild

Sun, 31 May 2009

Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster at a motor event in the US We first got details on the new Lamborghini LP650-4 Roadster back in February, and Lamborghini subsequently issued a set of pictures to show it was real. But it was a bit of a surprise to see a real one turn up at a Lamborghini event in the US. Sporting the same 650bhp as the Lamborghini Reventon, the LP650-4 Roadster is the last of the line of open-topped Murcielagos (apart from the Reventon Roadster – which as there will only be 9 doesn’t really count), and is the successor to the LP640 Roadster.

Stop-Start Freelander on the way

Mon, 01 Dec 2008

Land Rover has announced that it will be introducing stop-start technology on its Freelander range from May 2009, thus saving around 8% on the Co2 emissions, and taking the Freelander down a group on VED, which should help move a few more Freelanders off forecourts next year. The technology for the stop-start was developed in-house, with a new engine management system coming from Bosch and an uprated starter from Denso. The stop-start option will be available on the 2.2 TD4, which accounts for nearly half of UK sales.
