Condition:Used

This upper tailgate is off of a 1966 VOLVO 122  AMAZON wagon. This tailgate will bolt up to any year 122 wagon however, the stay supports are different on the earlier pre-1965 wagons. This tailgate is off of a west coast car and has been inside my shop for decades. The over-all condition of the tailgate is very good. There is some deep pitting along the edges of the seams however, all the seams are solid and strong. The track molding is straight and solid. There is a slight "ding" on the top edge as shown in the photo. More than easy to fix. The tailgate metal needs to be sand blasted on some of the edges before any primer. The right side tailgate stay post needs to be brazed. Nothing is bent. It just needs to be brazed or welded to locate it. When surfaced properly, this will end up a very solid and excellent tail gate. NOTE-I have the tail gate listed as local pick-up however, I will ship it and the cost will be determined by the destination point. Obviously shipping from ME to MA is very different than from ME to CA. I will use UPS Ground for shipping. Purchase the item and request an invoice with shipping included. Any questions call 207-882-5033 daytime M-F.

Greenpeace goes galactic on Volkswagen's Super Bowl ad

Wed, 29 Jun 2011

UPDATE: Some in the office (and in the comments) were wondering how Greenpeace got permission to use Lucasfilm footage in their parody. It appears they didn't, and the video has been pulled from YouTube due to claims of copyright infringement. We'll post an edited version when and if it becomes available.

JLR Factory plans on track – Sunday Times story rejected

Mon, 19 Apr 2010

JLR's UK restructuring is on track despite the stories in this weekend's press Back in September, JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) announced that it intended closing one of its Midlands factories as part of a long-term plan to breathe new life in to the future of JLR. We dutifully reported that but confess we took the easy ‘Bad News’ tack on the story. It was obvious; JLR are closing a factory ergo bad news.
