This BOSCH distributor will fit all VOLVO 122s and P-1800s. It is the earlier high performance model with a vacuum advance instead of models with a vacuum retard. I took this distributor out of a low mileage 122 over 40 years ago and it has been sitting on a shelf the entire time. The distributor is in excellent plus original condition and I have serviced it completely installing new points, condenser and the insulation kit with new hardware. I tested the distributor on an analyzing machine and checked the concentricity of the point cam. It is perfect with the points opening exactly 90 degrees apart for cylinders #1 through #4. This is very critical for optimum performance. The mechanical advance curve is perfect as is the vacuum advance. At this point in time, most of the early VOLVO distributors have worn advance mechanisms and point cams which will hurt the performance of an engine.  Of all the distributors used in the B-18 engines, this was BOSCH's most expensive distributor. This distributor is ready to install as is. NOTE-Most people try to remedy a worn distributor by installing an aftermarket solid state system. Unfortunately, they end up cutting into the coil system and destroying its originality. An excellent distributor, point and condenser last a very, very long time and they are certainly more reliable.
