A parts catalogue is a must for the Volvo 1800 enthusiasts.  The parts catalogue is the original catalogue used and produced by Volvo Car Corporation without copyright.  The catalogue has been developed for the B20 powered P1800s/es (182/183) from 1969 to 1973.

This catalogue has been paired down to include "English" in the written text along with Swedish.  German, French and Italian have been deleted to increase the users speed in locating the proper part number relative to the P1800 model he or she requires part information.  Many pages from the original have been "cleaned up" and put in proper order.

The catalogue is an Adobe Reader File (pdf) and can be printed on 8 1/2" x 11" paper with the use of FREE Adobe Reader software, available to anyone on the web.  You can print one page, a few or all as you desire.  It will be provided to the winning bidder on CD.

The catalogue has a total of 14 sections, 367 pages and 141 illustrations.  It is a must to those who want to identify proper part numbers and glean an understanding of the components of the P 1800.

Good luck and

Enjoy the Drive ;)

(P.S.  The low res image included in this listing reads well in the actual pdf. It is one of the over 140 illustrations included!  This is not an 8 page, single illustration document. It has every component published by Volvo Car Corporation. It has never failed me when trying to identify a part number or evision a component assembly.)

The wining bid amount for the catalogue covers the time and effort to develop the pdf files and to burn the CD and time to arrange packaging and shipment only.  We do not infer in any way that payment is for the original document and we are in no way associated with Volvo Car Corporation.  We have a P1800 and love it.  We wanted to share, without expense to ourselves, this fantastic information.

First Sight: Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222

Thu, 16 May 2013

It was one of the more memorable automotive events this year, and the massive thunderstorm only added to the drama. Last night Mercedes-Benz launched its new S-Class sedan in the delivery hall of Airbus in Hamburg and Car Design News was there to get the low-down on this eagerly-awaited limo. Context was fittingly provided by an A380 lounging in the background as the current lineup of Mercedes-Benz escorted Benz's big boy onto the stage, amidst artificial fireworks and real thunder and lightning.

Cadillac teases Detroit 2013 concept at Pebble Beach

Tue, 21 Aug 2012

Cadillac teased a new concept car at the weekend at Pebble Beach to be unveiled in the steel at an unnamed American auto show early next year. We'll see you on the GM stand in Detroit then. During a press event Cadillac's Global Design Director Clay Dean said it was time for the brand to "reflect back not for nostalgia, but what made us great at the time." There were no further details about what we can expect from the concept but from what we can see from these renders is what appears to be a further move away from the geometry of the Art and Science form language towards a more sculptural surface treatment intersected by sharp, precise creases.

Essex is home to a Brand New E-Type Jaguar

Mon, 08 Dec 2008

Ray Parrott, an Essex haulier and E-Type fanatic, has created the last ever authentic E-Type Jaguar from a collection of spare parts that has been gathering dust in a garage since 1974, when the last E-Type rolled off the production line at Browns Lane. Ray was contacted by Mike Wilkinson of M & C Wilkinson Spares, a classic Jag parts specialist in Yorkshire, who had dealt with Ray on many occasions for parts for the E-Types he already owned, to tell him that he had been able to secure this huge range of parts, all brand new and unused, from the guy who had bought them from Jaguar in the ’70s And so was hatched a plan. The New E-Type Jaguar belonging to Ray Parrot Between them they realised that there were at least 95% of the parts needed to build an E-Type from scratch, including the bodyshell, brand new V12 engine, gearbox and rear axle and even an unopened canvas top for the Roadster.
