Ford Fiesta SportVan – more car than van
Tue, 10 Mar 2009Commercial vehicles is not exactly our stock in trade. We tend not to give you news and info on the latest commercial releases from the like of LDV or Renault, mainly because our readers aren’t really that interested (but if we’re wrong, tell us and we will!). Fiat 500L MPW goes on sale. Costs from £15,795
Fri, 13 Sep 2013The Fiat 500L MPW (pictured) is now on sale. Costs from £15,795 The latest extension (literally) to the Fiat 500 range – the Fiat 500L MPW – has gone on sale in the UK so lovers of Fiats appealing 500 can still get their fix even if they have a Brady Bunch sized family. A stretched version of the already stretched Fiat 500L, the 500L MPW (which gets the 500L Living badge outside the UK) isn’t a true 7-seater, but does get two extra occasional seats in the boot for transporting the smallest members of your brood when needed.
Market view: why the Jaguar XJ has an uphill battle
Fri, 10 Jul 2009By Glen Brooks Motor Industry 10 July 2009 16:11 It’s a sobering thought for Jaguar management that no matter how good the new 2010 XJ is, it’s never going to be a big seller. The global market for large executive saloons was in decline long before the Great Recession appeared, the buyers in this segment increasingly tempted by models as diverse as the BMW X6, Infiniti FX, Cadillac Escalade or Mercedes GL-Class crossovers and SUVs. The generation that was chauffeured in an S-class or XJ is retiring, with the owner-drivers who succeed them soon to be preferring a Porsche Panamera, Aston Martin Rapide or Audi A7.
