Upgrade a soon-to-be Classic.  For sale is a Wind Deflector for Volvo C70 model years 2006-2013 all with that retractable hard top which is a marvel of engineering.  2013 is last model year, so soon parts and accessories will not be made any more.

This OEM product enhances both the comfort factor and coolness factor.  From experience, this wind deflector definitely decreases wind shear and noise to front passengers. Plus, it looks very distinguished and adds the finishing touch for cruising.

This accessory retails for upwards of $450.00 (if you are lucky enough to be able to find one).

It is made of metal tubing and mesh (no holes in the mesh), and fits all Volvo C70 hard-top convertible models after 2006-2013.  Those model years all come with the round tab inserts located on the upper rear outer panels in the back seat (see picture).  Please check your car and/or with Volvo to confirm this deflector will fit your car - it must be able to accommodate the round tabs.  It requires no special tools for installation, and is easy to install, remove, and store.

Back of Wind Deflector has two tabs which fit in between top of back seat and lower part of head rests.

Once in place, it covers back seat so no back seat passengers.

It does have zippered openings so you still can store items out of view and out of direct sun.

Convenient feature is that it can remain up for function, but also fold flat for rear view when top is up.  Yes, Top can go up and down with Wind Deflector in place, so no need to remove when the top is up.

Complete with storage back and original instructions.

Comes from smoke-free, no pets allowed, car.

So the MINI Paceman Concept from the 2011 Detroit Motor Show is going in to production as the stylish coupe version of the MINI Countryman, and MINI has been busy teasing it ahead of the Paris reveal.

2013 Belgian Grand Prix: Hamilton pole for Mercedes

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

Lewis Hamilton (pictured) takes pole for Mercedes in the 2013 Belgian Grand Prix The F1 circus returns this week after its summer holidays, but it’s business as usual for Lewis Hamilton after a cracking lap in final qualifying saw him take pole position for tomorrow’s Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. For a while it looked like Force India’s Paul di Resta would score his first ever pole as he took to final qualifying with his car on intermediate tyres whilst all the rest started on dry tyres. As the rain started to fall, di Resta put in a time that looked unbeatable as the rest of the final qualifiers struggled to put their power down.
