Short story, you want the Green cap

Long story:

This Green cap is 1.5 bars and will replace all the White, Black, or Gray caps. The Black cap is a lower pressure cap (75 KPa). The Green cap is by far the most popular cap. I offer the black cap in my store. IPD likes it because the lower pressure is easier on the radiator and hoses. The problem is that if you live in a warm climate and use AC, the black cap lets coolant leak out every day. The Green cap holds coolant better. SO, I hate to go against IPD because they are good with the Bricks, but I sell 5 Green Caps to 1 black cap. Might be worse than that.

This cap fits most of the 4 cylinder Volvos 240, 740 and all of that vintage and all of the new 5 cylinder models 850, C70, S70, V70, S80, S60, S90, V90 S40, V40, XC90.

 It probably fits more models than I am showing. If you have a question, email me with your model, year, vin number and country of purchase. ;>)

If you are overheating, or losing coolant, the cap might be the problem. I also have had the caps fall apart. Too many hot cold cycles I guess. I run the green cap. It is direct replacement for the white or grey. There are some folks who want the low pressure black cap and I have that too. I also have a few hoses and some expansion tanks. They get old and hard and crack. Not good. Good Luck. Go Volvo
