Wed, 02 May 2012Opel has taken on the winner of last year's Car Design News – Opel/Vauxhall Interactive Design Competition, Victor Uribe, to work as the latest addition to its creative design team. Uribe, a Transportation Design graduate from Istituto Europeo Di Design in Turin, Italy, emerged as the winner in the exterior design category for his submission, ‘Lounge in Motion', and won himself a six-month internship at the Opel/Vauxhall's European Design Studio in Rüsselsheim, Germany. NHTSA studies Toyota Corolla airbags
Fri, 15 Apr 2011Federal regulators are investigating a motorist's report that the airbags in his 2008 Toyota Corolla failed to deploy when the vehicle hit a deer at 55 mph. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said this week that the airbag probe could affect as many as 170,000 vehicles. The Corolla has been Toyota's second-best selling model, after the Camry, in recent years.
