This complete Volvo power plant was removed from a 1986 Bayliner Capri Cuddy 2150 that was used in a freshwater lake 6 weeks a year for the first 12 years and 16-18 weeks a year afterwards.  It was removed as part of a conversion to outboard power.  The engine was improved by the addition of an electronic ignition.  The power plant system received regular professional maintenance every season and was stored indoors in the off season.  Stock drive sense selection is LH rotation, but is easily modified to RH rotation.  It was operated with 19-inch (included) and 21-inch pitch propellers.  Brackets, bolts, nuts and mounting parts that were removed are boxed and included - not responsible for inadvertently missing small parts.

Package includes throttle, shift and steering controls.

The engine and all other parts are palletized separately and strapped to two pallets for forklift loading.  The combined weight is approximately 1,000 pounds.

Cost of shipping is included to those states serviced by Spee-Dee Delivery (see SpeeDeeDelivery-DotCom website for service area map): MN, ND, SD, IA, IL, parts of NB & MO.  Ten percent (10%) discount for buyer pickup.

By prior arrangement, buyers or their representatives may inspect the offering at the marina where it is stored.

College Exhibition: Coventry University Degree Show 2007

Wed, 27 Jun 2007

Undergraduate students from Coventry University's Transportation Design program had their initial show in the end of May this year, but the range of projects was so vast that a selection of work from the annual degree show was then chosen and displayed in Coventry Transport Museum on June 15. Car Design News was there to see what had been selected. Inspired by the Alfa BT4B with which Niki Lauda won the Swedish Formula One Grand Prix in 1978, Stephan Everwin created a modern interpretation of the 'Fan Car'.  Its rakish lines all culminate in a smooth aerodynamic shape that incorporates a huge fan between the rear wheels creating a massive vacuum under the car providing downforce at high speed.

Hyundai Concept Genesis Coupe

Thu, 08 Nov 2007

Korea's largest automaker is poised to unveil the Concept Genesis Coupe at the 2007 Los Angeles International Auto Show next week. Though these sketches are admittedly exaggerated, the coupe uses the concept Genesis sedan, unveiled it the 2007 New York International Auto Show in April, as the basis for the structure. According to our sources, the sporting coupe concept hints at the forthcoming design direction for a future rear-wheel drive sports coupe from Hyundai called the BK, a luxurious sport coupe specifically for North American market.

Porsche Boxster Electric get four wheel-drive or rear wheel-drive

Tue, 24 May 2011

The Electric Porsche Boxster at Michelin Challenge Bibendum We ran a story about the Electric Porsche Boxster back in February, but there really wasn’t a whole heap of information to impart. But now, after Porsche showcased the electric Boxster at Michelin Challenge Bibendum in Berlin, there is a little more flesh to put on the bones of that story. We’d assumed – because there was no reason to assume otherwise – that the three Electric Boxsters Porsche has running around would be all rear wheel-drive, just like the ICE Boxster.
