We’ll have more detail later today (we expect) on exactly what Land Rover has achieved with the new Range Rover, especially the effect the huge weight loss has had on the performance of the 4.4 litre V8 diesel, the 5.0 litre Supercharged petrol and the new 3.0 litre diesel. Aston Martin Cygnet planned for 2011 production
Mon, 11 Oct 2010Aston Martin said on Monday that the Cygnet--a reworked version of the Toyota iQ city car--will go into production in 2011. The Cygnet, which was shown as a concept car at the Geneva motor show in March, is just less than 10 feet long. "Our customers need a small car for urban and city use and they want the right tools for the right job, to downsize creatively without compromising intelligence, artistry and personality," said Aston Martin CEO Ulrich Bez.
GM transplants Chevrolet Volt technology into the Cadillac ELR hybrid
Wed, 17 Aug 2011One of the headliners of the 2009 Detroit auto show, the Cadillac Converj concept, will become production reality. Cadillac confirmed some details on Wednesday afternoon and said that the coupe will be called the ELR. It will use a T-shaped lithium-ion battery pack, and a generator kicks on to extend range, similar to the Chevrolet Volt.
