It’s rather special too, as the original Flyer racing car is the forebear to one of the most famous Porsche models ever, the 550 Spyder. Mon, 18 Aug 2008The Lexus IS-F is a significant new design for one core reason: it introduces a performance sub-brand parallel to that of the M-cars from BMW, AMG from Mercedes-Benz, and the S and RS sub-brands from Audi. This then is Lexus making a logical next step to further encroach on the established German premium brands. BMW originated the premium brands' performance sub-brand with the 'M for Motorsport' M3 of 1986 (the M1 supercar of 1978 preceded that, but was a singular model, not a performance derivative).
Supermarkets Announce Fuel Price Cuts
Tue, 11 Mar 2014AHEAD of the forthcoming Budget, two major supermarket chains have announced a welcome fuel price cut. The first company to show its hand was Tesco, which has announced a reduction in its petrol and diesel by 1p a litre. Asda then followed, with the supermarket giant taking up to 1p a litre off its petrol and up to 2p a litre off its diesel, pledging motorists would pay no more than 132.7p a litre for diesel and 126.7p a litre for petrol.
