These parts came from a 1989 boat with the SP-A outdrive and GM 305 engine.. This auction is for the upper gear box that has u-joints on the U-joint assembly that are brand new, just installed. The yoke end has 26 splines and the transmission shifts fine from forward to reverse. This has the double bolt helmet mount and will fit on out drives from 1981 and up that have the medium bearing race which is the most common size for the 270, 280, and 290, SP and DP drives. The gear changes are in the lower unit so this will fit the 270, 275, and 280 that have 4, 6 and 8 cylinder engines. Following a method proven by the likes of Audi, Subaru and Volvo, SEAT has taken its new Leon estate, the ST, and added 4WD and plastic bumpers to create a new model. The basic shape of the Leon ST has remained unchanged, with a 15mm rise in ride-height and new anodised black roof rails completing the transformation.
VW to announce Italdesign takeover on Tuesday
Mon, 24 May 2010Volkswagen will announce Tuesday that it will take a 90 percent stake in Italdesign Giugiaro S.p.A, people familiar with the matter told Automotive News Europe. The Giugiaro family will retain 10 percent in the Italian design house that is famous for styling cars such as the first-generation VW Golf. VW plans to acquire control of Italdesign to help reach its goal of becoming the world's largest automaker by 2018 with sales of 10 million vehicles a year.
