Overview:

This item consists of one CVVT Solenoid for the Volvo models listed below made between 2003 and 2007. This solenoid can have a huge impact on your engine's performance as well as its emissions. If your vehicle is throwing a P0026 code, this solenoid may be the culprit.

Thirty day warranty. This CVVT solenoid has been properly cleaned and successfully tested, by applying power and ground.  

• Volvo S60 2003-2009 [2.3 (T5), 2.4 Turbo, 2.5Turbo, and R models]
• Volvo S80 2003-2006 [2.9 non-turbo models, 2.5 Turbo, 2.9 (T6)]
• Volvo V70 2003-2007 [2.3 (T5), 2.4 non-turbo, 2.4 Turbo, 2.5 Turbo, and R models]

This is Volvo's version of Honda's VTEC. By altering the timing of the opening and closing of the intake and exhaust valves, the PCM can adjust for engine load and speed. So this solenoid controls the flow of fuel and air into the combustion chamber as well as combustion temperatures more precisely. This allows for more efficient operation under all conditions.
