Perfect for those that want that signature sound between shifts our Maxflow Race Blow-off Valve features a 360 degree discharge all Billet aluminum construction and a large rolling diaphragm configuration with dual vent porting allows for quick valve response. These units will retrofit to standard Greddy/HKS style mounting pads are adaptable to all types of boosted engine installations and can be mounted in any position.  Race BOV with standard spring is preset to open at 5 inches of vacuum Race BOV with high tension spring is preset to open at 17 inches of vacuum.  Same mounting flange configuration as current Vortech Race Bypass. Direct replacement on VTA (vent-to-atmosphere) applications.

BMW makes 1,000 workers permanent

AROUND 1,000 agency workers at car giant BMW are to be made permanent employees, guaranteeing job security for years. The change, being made in two phases, was warmly welcomed by the Unite union, describing it as a great Christmas present. The announcement covers workers across a number of BMW sites including the Mini plant in Oxford, pressings plant in Swindon and Hams Hall engine site near Birmingham.

Mini claims it’s created the safest WRC car ever – with a little help from Prodrive.  And to prove the point, they’ve opened up the Mini Countryman WRC’s innards and spilled some of the secrets of its rollcage. The Countryman racer is stripped and fitted with a new type of rollcage designed by Prodrive. Its beams curve outwards and the Banbury engineers say it has been designed to withstand impacts much better than the straight crossbeams used in most WRC cars.
