Bentley launches 'Series 51' options for Flying Spur

Bentley has announced a raft of new ‘Series 51’ upgrades (and a new infotainment system) for the Continental Flying Spur and Flying Spur Speed, helping to keep the pair feeling fresh before replacements arrive in a few years time. Series 51 designs have been an option on the Continental GT and GTC since 2009, but this will be the first time they’ve been offered on the four-door limo. Update: Porsche has now caught up with the first photos arriving and we have official details of what the new 911 GT3 has to offer. A rise in weight from the last GT3 sees the new GT3 weighing in at 1430kg, but power is up to 468bhp and 324lb/ft of torque from a tweaked version of the 3.8 litre flat 6 which now revs to 9000rpm with power going to the back wheels through the auto ‘box.

Local man solves roadworks problem with his own toll road

A TEMPORARY TOLL road made from rolled chippings has been opened in south-west England. Businessman Mike Watts decided to open the thoroughfare to bypass a closed section of the A431 between Bath and Bristol. The Kelston Road was shut in February following a landslip and officials say it will not be repaired until the end of the year.
