Infiniti Q50 revealed ahead of Detroit

Infiniti has released an image of a new Q50 Eau Rouge concept ahead of its debut at the Detroit Motor Show on January 13. The Eau Rouge is based on the Q50 saloon, and the company says it draws inspiration from the collaboration between Infiniti and Red Bull Racing. £54k insurance fraud foiled by black box

A fraudulent £54,000 insurance claim following a crash involving a car and a lorry has been found bogus thanks to a black box device fitted to the car. Three passengers in the lorry claimed for personal injury damages after it was shunted at low speed by a Vauxhall Astra. However, the Astra was fitted with a telematics device that, when examined, revealed that due to the size and weight of the vehicles and the speed of the Astra, the claimed injuries were implausible.

Rinspeed microMAX

Rinspeed has revealed its microMAX concept car as its latest Geneva-bound offering, which it hopes will revolutionize urban congestion. The microMAX, designed by Rinspeed boss Frank Rinderknecht, explores the idea of car sharing and is designed to be small enough so that it can easily navigate city environments but uses upright seats to maximize space. The five-seater concept is apparently no bigger than a Mini Cooper and has space for a stroller or shopping cart as well as a coffee maker and refrigerator.
