Brand:HELLA Country/Region of Manufacture:Germany Manufacturer Part Number:B37-VW1-6V

Estate sale find of a number of parts from a European auto repair shop whose owner specialized in VW and Porsche restorations.  Offered here is a pair of matching Hella horns for a Karmann Ghia which he was going to restore.

I took the face off one and inside was as nice as the day it was made inside.  Original brown ground wires are intact and both mounting brackets are there.   No damage, dents or rust of any kind on the outer faces.  It appears he had already restored these.

Give your Ghia or bug the correct look with authentic Hella parts.  In the 1960's your VW didn't come from Germany with re-popped horns made somewhere else so keep it original.

Please examine the pictures and feel free to ask questions.  I ship to many countries but only via US Priority Mail and Priority Express.

Porsche is developing a new four-cylinder engine set to power entry-level model

Mon, 05 Sep 2011

High-ranking officials at Porsche's Weissach research and development center in Germany have confirmed that engineering work is progressing on a four-cylinder horizontally opposed gasoline engine, details of which were first revealed by Autoweek earlier this year. The new boxer unit--which is earmarked to power a new mid-engine, entry-level model that insiders describe as a spiritual successor to the iconic 550 Spyder--looks set to become an integral part of Porsche's future model plans. Insiders suggest it will also be offered on the third-generation Boxster and the second-generation Cayman later on in their respective model cycles.

New Jeep Grand Cherokee (2011): Details, photos & video

Mon, 24 May 2010

The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee I don’t know why, but I always thought the Grand Cherokee an appealing SUV. It was soft and soggy in typical Yank-Tank way, and its interior trim owed more to the art of plastic than trees, but it had an appeal. More so in V8 mode than the Euro-Special diesel, although the current 3.0 litre is a lot better than the 2.7 litre it replaced.

VL Destino revealed - what became of the Fisker Karma

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

VL This is the new face of the Fisker Karma, the luxury plug-in hybrid whose parent company went to the wall last year. But it’s not only the Karma’s gap-toothed grin that’s disappeared: its plug-in hybrid powertrain has bitten the dust, too, replaced by a GM-sourced V8 – a supercharged lump boasting 638hp and 640lb ft. Called the VL Destino, the wilder Karma will be shown at this month’s North American International Auto Show, aka the Detroit Motor Show.
