This vintage 1980s used top cowling motor hood cover shroud is from a Mercury Thunderbolt MERC 1000, 100 horsepower outboard motor.
The donor boat must have been well-enjoyed: cover shows dings, scratches and other imperfections. Numbers imprinted inside it appear to be: 49448 C and K 2114-3591. Ask questions before bidding. Consult your dealer to ensure this is the right part for your boat, as there are no returns. |

UK sales slide continues: 'worst market for 17 years'

September is historically one of the two biggest registration months of the year, as buyers rush to snap up the autumn's new number plate – yet sales were down by a fifth last month. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, which collates sales data from dealers, called it 'stormy September', as new-car registrations plummeted by 21 percent from last year's figure to 330,295.

2013 Australian Motor Show axed
Tue, 26 Mar 2013This year’s Australian Motor Show in Melbourne has been cancelled by its organizers three months before its planned opening. Falling attendance figures played a big part in taking the decision, as did what is seen as a lack of manufacturer support. The Australian International Motor Show Joint Venture's event director Russ Tyrie said the decision was taken "based on a consensus view of the automotive industry to focus limited marketing budgets in 2013 on firm-specific activities, rather than an industry-based motor show." The Volkswagen Group's decision not to attend may well have acted as the final nail in the coffin along with Hyundai's hesitancy despite initial support.
